Characters and Actors:

John Boyega:

The main character will be John Boyega as he is very well known but his cost per episode will not be too expensive due to him only being in two feature films rather than choosing an actor who has been in over 7 which would result in them always being busy. For example in the Walking Dead most of the actors are unknown as they cost less and it helps create a bond with the character rather than seeing them as another role such as Daniel Radcliffe being recognised as Harry Potter.

He is young which will appeal to the teenage and adult audience rather than having an elderly character as the lead as it would not appeal as much. His role in Star Wars gathered him a fan base which would result in his fans watching the series. He is 24 so in the programme he would have joined the Army at 16 and left at 21 and then he had a family when he was discharged which would mean his children are 2-3 years old in the show. He showed a strong lead in Star Wars which would make him ideal for the main role.

Helen Flanagan:

Helen Flanagan is a well-known British Actress and Celebrity. She originally appeared on the soap show coronation street which means her acting skills drama and a storyline will be professional rather than amateur. She is also attractive which will make her one of the favourable characters amongst both genders. She will play a role where she is strong and can fight on her own which allows the series to not be stereotypical.

Her unique selling point will be mainly teenage females as she will portray a strong character who will appeal to many females gathering a gender neutral audience.

Character she plays: Libby Browne

Basic Character Description: Independent, Flirty, Alert.

Cillian Murphy:

I have chosen Cillian murphy as my next actor as he played a good role in Batman begins. In the series he will play a nerdy character who is usually scared of the zombies and would not be able to defend himself much but due to his intellect he manipulates people into thinking he has the cure to the apocalypse when he actually does not. Truly he has no idea of how to cure the apocalypse and uses other groups to get him to where he wants to go and is used as a bargaining chip between groups for their own protection. His characters selling point will be to audiences who enjoy plot twists and scenes which require you to think such as flashbacks.

Character he plays: James Wood

Basic Character Description: Nerdy, Weak, Manipulative, Smart, Tech Savvy.

Daniel Craig

I have decided to cast Daniel Craig in my film as he played a very good role in the James Bond movies. He played a strong yet quiet man during his time as Agent 007 which is exactly the sort of role that I would like him to play in my TV programme. Despite wanting to be alone most of the time; he will eventually team up with the other main protagonists to guide the character Matthew Wood to the “cure”; even though he doesn’t trust those around him.

He will attract many fans from the James Bond series due to both having action in and him gathering a larger fan base from the films he did. He will appeal mainly to males who enjoy action.

Character he plays: Nathan Jones

Basic Character Description: Lone wolf, quiet, strong, sneaky, ex-undercover police officer.

Patterson Joseph:

Character he plays: (No First Name) Johnson.

Due to his role in peep show he has come across to TV viewers as quite humorous therefore in the show I have added some humour to things he says and to his personality. He is a mysterious character who is a master of manipulation which he uses by making characters get a connection to him for his own advantage. His selling point will be humour and action due to his background of the series of being in the Police
